Serious security tools, for everyone

Retyc is an encrypted transfer and storage platform. For professionals who protect confidential data and don't want to depend on tools that were never designed for it.
Why Retyc

Everyday tools were not built for this

Every day, contracts, client files and financial data travel through email or consumer platforms. Without serious encryption, without control over who can access what. In environments where these files can be analyzed or used to train AI models. The alternatives that exist are either reserved for large companies with dedicated technical teams, or hosted on US infrastructure subject to the Cloud Act.That is why we built Retyc.
    No real confidentiality
Email, WeTransfer, Dropbox: convenient, but not designed for sensitive data.
    Your files can be censored
Some platforms scan your files and refuse certain content, sometimes "for security reasons". You are no longer the only one deciding what you can send.
    Exposure to foreign laws
Cloud Act, FISA: a US platform can be compelled to hand your data to foreign authorities, without telling you.
    Encrypted, but not for you
Most services encrypt your files but keep the keys. They remain able to read them, or can be compelled to by an authority.
Your metadata already says too much
Even when the content is protected, file names or types often stay visible. That is sometimes enough to grasp the essentials.
Truly secure tools are too complex
Enterprise solutions are heavy to deploy and far from ergonomic. Day to day, teams end up working around them and going back to email.
Our approach

What Retyc does differently

We want any organization to be able to protect its sensitive documents properly, without depending on the big US or Chinese platforms.
You choose who can read your files
Zero-knowledge architecture: your files are encrypted on your device before upload, and only the recipients you authorize can decrypt them. Not even we can access them, neither the content nor the metadata.
    100% European infrastructure
French company, data hosted in Europe, European law applicable. No exposure to US or Chinese extraterritorial laws.
    Recognized cryptography, not homemade
Proven, publicly audited algorithms, never cryptography invented in-house. Our white paper details the whole security model.
    Open code, verifiable results
The encryption code is open source. You don't have to take our word for it: you can check.
Exploiting your data is impossible for us
Many services promise not to exploit your files, and you have to take their word for it. With Retyc, we simply cannot: your files are end-to-end encrypted, and we never have access to their content or the keys.
    Adopted in minutes
No technical expertise required. Your recipients have nothing to install or configure.
Emilien Mantel, Founder

Built by someone who lived the problem

"For years I worked in adtech and e-commerce, building systems whose business model relied on exploiting user data. Legal, often. But rarely in the interest of the people concerned.

At the same time, I watched professionals send genuinely sensitive documents as plain email attachments. Not out of carelessness: because nothing better was actually usable.

And on the technical side, it was either bloated, closed and very limited systems, or pure improvisation. To move or store large volumes of data, I always ended up improvising: an SFTP, an rsync, a temporary bucket spun up for the occasion and deleted afterwards.

Retyc is the answer to that: a tool that transfers and stores seriously, without being reserved for teams that have a security budget."

More than 15 years of experience in the field
High-traffic systems, distributed architectures, environments where downtime is expensive.
CTO and independent consultant since 2019
Startups and SMEs: he saw the same security mistakes repeat across very different sectors.
