What is the maximum file size I can send?

There is no fixed per-file limit. The only limit is the storage quota associated with your usage. Free transfers support large files out of the box, and quotas can be extended on paid plans for heavy workflows.

How does end-to-end encryption work?

Files are encrypted directly in your browser using the age encryption format before being uploaded. The decryption key is shared with the recipient through the transfer link and is never stored in clear on our servers.

Do I need an account to send files?

No. You can send an encrypted transfer without creating an account. An account is only required if you want to manage your transfers, set passphrases, define expiration rules or use advanced features.

Where is my data hosted?

All data is hosted in France on Scaleway and Clever Cloud infrastructure. Nothing is replicated outside of the European Union, which keeps your transfers out of reach of the US CLOUD Act.

Can Retyc read my files?

No. Thanks to the zero-knowledge architecture, encryption keys are derived and used on your device. We only store encrypted blobs, so neither Retyc nor our hosting partners can read the content of your transfers.
