No. They receive a link, then download and decrypt the file directly in their browser. If they don't have a Retyc key yet, you can protect the transfer with a password and share it through a secure channel.
No. Your files are encrypted on your device before sending, and our servers only ever receive encrypted blocks. File names, sizes and types are encrypted too. That's the zero-knowledge principle: not even we can read anything.
The size allowed per transfer depends on your plan. The free plan already covers large files such as videos, archives or high-resolution visuals, and paid plans raise that limit.
You choose the expiration period, from a few hours to several months depending on your plan. Once it passes, files are deleted automatically, and you can revoke access at any time.
